Monday was an eventful day for me! Preston, who by the way seemed to be acting perfectly normal, randomly threw up. We managed to get most of it in the trash can (thank goodness the kid is tall! It was the perfect height for him). I gave him a bath, put yummy baby lotion on him and cuddled and soothed him to make him feel better. Then he puked again and for the rest of the day wouldn't eat anything, not that I blame him. Once he got everything out of his system he was back to laughing and acting totally normal. weird. But! It's wednesday night now and he has hardly eaten a thing since then! He's had plenty apple juice, water, and "kambucha" so he is getting his fluids but I'm paranoid. I'm praying he'll wake up tomorrow with his healthy appetite back in order. It's like he is on a literal food strike or this is his way of fasting. It'a making me crazy!!!

Thriller

Last night Tyler and I went to see "Thriller" put on by the Odyssey Dance Theatre. It was soooo good!! I've been wanting to go every year since I moved here but I always missed my opportunity. This was the first year they came to Provo (At the Covey Center) so we were glad we didn't have to drive up to Salt Lake to see it. This is going to be a new tradition for us now. The last showing in Provo is tonight otherwise you'll have to go up to SL. Get tickets and go! You will absolutely LOVE it!!
Also, "Matt" from last season's So You Think You Can Dance performed throughout the Thriller production. It was so cool to see him, he is very talented

Farm Country
.jpg)
Last week I took Preston to Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point. It is the neatest place to take your little ones. They had goats, horses, chickens, pigs, cows... pretty much every farm animal you could think of. I'd never heard of it before and I'm so glad my friend Charity told us about it. Preston was so funny! He kept making the animal noises whenever he'd see them. In this picture he kept "naying" like a horse but he was so excited that it was a high pitched "heeeeee!" Next time I'm taking the video camera. It was too funny for words.

Cousins & Friends

Preston and Tanner are pals! I took this picture the other morning. Preston woke up surprised to see his cousin Tanner and was so excited. I loved how Preston just hopped on the back of the bike and Tanner let him... Most of the time they have a hard time sharing things (comes with the age). Tanner is 11 months older than Preston but they're good buddies. I'm so glad my sister lives so close so they can play and grow up together.

Increase Libido

I've been raving about this stuff to so many people lately. I must post. This is one of my new favorite superfoods. Traditionally this has been used in Peru for centuries to increase fertility in women. Maca Powder is highly nutritious and a natural aphrodisiac. It is given to both men and women to help increase libido.
"it is so effective in creating hormonal balance, many women use Maca to help with, menopausal problems, irregular menstrual cycles, symptoms of PMS, as well as a means to increase fertility. Men often use Maca to increase their sperm count, physical strength, as well as endurance. Maca, sold as a supplement, is quickly increasing its popularity among athletes, because it provides the strength and endurance needed for intense workouts and muscle building. Maca is recognized as a highly nutritious food and an excellent source of iron, magnesium, calcium, potassium, and iodine. Maca’s reported beneficial effects for sexual function are likely to be due to its high concentration of proteins and vital nutrients."
I think it has a slight nutty flavor. I put it in my multigrain waffles & pancakes. I also put it in my Cacao smoothie:
2 T. Cacao Powder
1-2 T. Maca Powder (2 if you're making the drink for 2 people)
1-2 Cups Coconut milk or Hemp Milk (you can find this at most health food stores (you can use milk *but don't if you're trying to get pregnant b/c it causes mucus lining in the uterus.
apx 1 tsp. Agave Nectar or use very little stevia (Natural sweetners, no sugar! both of these found at Goodearth)(add to
If you don't want to make this yourself come over and I'd be happy to make it for you ;)...Safe for Pregnant women who aren't giving their husbands any.
