Our New Ride

Finally got it! Last week we we purchased a Jeep Commander (limited). It's a pretty smokin' hot, sexy car and I especially love the power behind the gas peddal: ) I will feel so much better driving this car in the snow and it's so good to know my babies will be safe in the back seat. Preston loves the car... It's like a new jungle gym for him, he could play in there for hours! We traded in both our Toyota and Mitzubishi so until Tyler gets his truck in January I have to share my car with him ;o)

Happy thanksgiving Friends & Family!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoys spending this special day with their families as this is what holidays are all about. I'm so thankful for all my sisters and I look forward to spending Thanksgiving with you all this year (except Lisa... Booo, you whore!)

I'm so Thankful for the friendships I have and all the wonderful people in my life... We have made so many wonderful friends in the ward that we will have for life, I'm sure! I'm sad we're leaving the ward but we're going to keep all the friendships we've made;o) Enjoy your thanksgiving feast! I know I can't wait to stuff my face tomorrow!!

Homesick

Every once in a while I get the terrible pains of homesickness. Utah is my well established home now and has been for almost 5 years. I'm fortunate to have the best of both worlds! Growing up in San Diego was a dream and I didn't realize how much I took it for granted until I moved away. Today I was talking to an old friend from home and I got so incredibly homesick. I miss so much about my hometown... I'm hoping that this will help me to supress some of the sadness I feel right now.

I miss the beach and coming here as often as I used to to surf with my sister and friends. Then the late night bond fires and the casual laid-back feeling of being apart of the SoCal lifestyle... man, I don't know if this is going to help me feel any better! ;o)

Miss seeing this beauty... Tyler and I were married here and it truly is, in my opinion, the most beautiful temple inside and out. I wish we could return here more often and reminisce that special day together.

Oh the incredible shopping and outdoor malls... This is a picture of Horton Plaza Mall Downtown and my favorite mall at that. It has most of my favorite stores and it's right in the heart of downtown. Such a fun place to be!

Old Town, SD... This historic city is so fun and festive. We would come here all the time as a family to the "Bazar Del Mundo" where the most delicious mexican food in all of San Diego is. It's a traditional mexican restaurant with yummy pina coladas and mariachi bands serenade you while you eat... Very fun and entertaining.

Balboa Park- So many fond childhood memories here of riding the carousel, getting giant ice cream cones, climbing the hudge ancient-old trees, watching concerts, and seeing plays. This park is so beautiful!!

A small area downtown near the "Gaslamp" district... The streets in Little Italy are lined with authentic, fine Italian food. One of my many favorite places to eat and my mouth is watering right now thinking about it.

Sigh... I will be going home next month and I seriously can't wait to see all my extended family and dear friends who I miss terribly. I am having total withdrawls LOL! I really hope that one day Tyler and I can move our family there.

***Halloween***

Who says Halloween is all about the kids??? Thanks to our friend Scott Fitzgerald, we got this picture. I was so busy with the party that I didn't take 1 picture!!! Thank goodness, b/c I put so much work into these costumes. I wish you could see the back of our capes. It was such a great turnout! Thank you to everyone who came and really got into the Halloween Spirit!

This year we dressed Preston up as a giraffe. My mother-in-law Jeanette bought this witch this year and when Preston saw it he Freaked Out and started crying!
I guess he realized she wasn't real b/c when we went to Grandma and Grandpa's to trick or treat I was quite surprised Preston stood next to her. He's even holding her foot! They're good friends now.

Baby got back. I love the tail and mohawk of his costume.

This is Preston with his cousins, Cydnie and Hunter right before trick-or-treating. Preston adores Cydnie! She is his favorite as you can probably tell!!

We walked up to this house that was decorated head-to-toe and had fog, sound and lighting affects. It was really cool and this is Preston's wide-eyed expression :O

Future Clyde Company employee! This was cute. Tyler dressed Preston up in all his construction gear. This is what Ty will wear when he has to go out to the actual job sites. I think it looks cuter on Preston ;o)

This was taken by Scott again! What would we do without the Fitzgeralds! This was taken at the Ward Halloween Party. Tyler and I didn't feel like putting on the Lycra stretchy suits again so we wore our San Diego Padres gear and came as "Padres Fans" ...kinda lame, I know! But it was this or nothing at all. It was a long, tiring month with all the partying and still being in my 1st trimester of pregnancy.
